Positron Emission Tomography (PET) identifies abnormal cellular processes by capturing radiation from tracers injected into the body. A CT-Scan is then used to provide a detailed map of the abnormality. The fusion of these methods allows detection of most types of cancer with 90% to 95% accuracy.
