The Center for Diagnostic Imaging of Angeles University Foundation Medical Center offers and continually provides quality and reliable radiographic images and their interpretations. Its competent and certified staff are in partnership with the hospital, its medical and support staff in providing and fulfilling the institution’s quest for excellent service and compassionate care. It also serves as a training ground for future doctors and radiologic technologists as it participates in the medical center’s educational mission.
Offers routine and specialized CT scan examinations. The Section is composed of professionals who are well trained and board-certified Radiologists and Radiologic Technicians. This ensures that CT examinations are done safely and results are accurate and reliable.
The Section of Ultrasound provides routine ultrasound examinations, including certain specialized Doppler studies and ultrasound-guided procedures. The staff of the Section is dedicated to total customer satisfaction by delivering excellent patient care. Accurate and timely ultrasound results are provided by fully trained and board-certified Fellows of the Ultrasound Society of the Philippines.
Pre-procedural instruction may include:
– Procedures that require 8 hours fasting
– Whole abdominal study
– Upper abdominal study
– HBT/pancreas
– Gallbladder sonogram
Routine preparation of patients for ultrasound procedures:
– Urinary Bladder
Let the patient drink (4) four to (5) fine glasses of fluids (water, juice, soft drinks or milk) preferably, clear liquids one (1) hour before the procedure.
Advise patient to refrain from voiding until after the procedure. A fully distended bladder is required for the procedure.
Transvaginal/Transrectal Ultrasound of Pelvic Organs
Usually, no preparations are required unless specified by the radiologist/sonologist on duty.
Transrectal Ultrasound of Prostate
Usually, no preparations are required unless specified by the radiologist/sonologist on duty.
All routine and contrast x-ray examinations are available for patients of the Center for Diagnostic Imaging. The Section has been abreast with the latest technology since 2008 when it adopted digital radiography. This ensures that images produced are of high resolution and eliminates repeat studies due to technical issues making examinations safer for patients. In addition, it is staffed by professional board-certified Radiologists and Radiologic Technologists.
