Whole Body Bone Scan & Three- Phase Bone Scan

PATIENT PREPARATION FOR WHOLE BODY SCAN/ POST RAI SCAN with TG and ATG

No Fasting required.

Please bring the following:
1. 1L drinking water
2. Previous exams (CT scan, MRI, Biopsy, Ultrasound, Bone Scan) if any
3. Extra Diaper and/or Underwear (especially for prostate ca patients)

No CT Scan with contrast at least 24 hours prior to procedure.

In case a SPECT image is needed, there will be an additional charge.

Corresponding amount of radioisotope will be forfeited in case of same day cancellation and/ or no show. The procedure is allowed to be rescheduled if the patient or relative informs the department two (2) days before the procedure. A late of 2 hours or more on the day of the procedure is considered NO SHOW.

RADIATION PRECAUTION: Please avoid close contact with pregnant women and children below 13 years of age for at least 24 hours.

Metastatic work-up
Follow-up after Chemotherapy or Radiotherapy
Detection of Fracture
Athletic injuries/child abuse
Osteomyelitis/ rheumatoid arthritis
Prosthesis Evaluation

Scintimammography

Detection of breast malignancy, an alternative for mammography in patients with dense breasts and those who cannot tolerate the procedure.

Whole Body Iodine Scan

Evaluation of thyroid malignancies.

Please defecate before the procedure

Please bring the following:
1. Previous exams (Whole Body Scan, Post RAI Scan, TG and ATG Results)
Corresponding amount of radioisotope will be forfeited in case of same day cancellation and/ or no show. The procedure is allowed to be rescheduled if the patient or relative informs the department two (2) days before the procedure.
