Overview

Is the process of restoring an individual with cardiac problem to the maximum level of activity compatible with the functional capacity of the heart. It aims to improve or maintain a good level of cardiovascular fitness, thereby returning the individual to a normal and productive life, monitor activity tolerance, prepare for discharge, educate the patient to recognize adverse symptoms with activity, support risk factor modification techniques, collaborate with other team members.

 

Cases Include: Coronary Heart/Vascular/Valvular Disease Post Cardiac Surgery (Coronary Bypass Graft, Valve Replacement/Repair, Angioplasty, Congenital Heart Disease, Cardiomyopathy/ Heart Failure)
